Eden Ostrich World

It is a Farm Visitor Centre based at Langwathby Hall, a 230 acre working arable beef and sheep farm near Penrith in the beautiful Eden Valley. Within three months of opening, Eden Ostrich World won Cumbria Tourist Board's prestigious Best Visitor Attraction in Cumbria Award (under 50,000 visitors). To achieve this award in so little time is a tremendous accolade and one that we are particularly proud of.

Of high educational value, the Centre boasts rare breeds of cattle, donkeys, outdoor pigs, goats, red deer, meerkats, zebras, porcupines, racoon dogs, ducks and geese. Of course, the centrepiece is the magnificent African Black Ostrich. Visitors marvel at the magic of incubation with eggs hatching on a daily basis (May to October).
